Lucy Wearing is a British make-up artist, series consultant for BBC’s Glow Up, and educator. Working across beauty, fashion, music and celebrity. Lucy has a deep appreciation for skin, her approach and visual referencing rooted in her studies in Fine Art at Liverpool John Moores University + Make-up and Fashion at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London.

Education Lucy has written and directed many short, under graduate and bespoke courses including international project delivery and assessments for London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London and is currently an Associate Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Photography and BA (Hons) Hair and Make-up for Fashion.

Lucy’s next course for UAL short courses will begin Jan 2027 - The Complete make up artist short course is a practical and industry focused intensive course that covers the foundations of makeup artistry, designed for aspiring artists. You will learn the professional skills required to become an innovative and in-demand makeup artist in the creative world of fashion image-making.

Projects In 2017 Lucy first went to Za'atari refugee camp Jordan to set up the project; Beauty co-op for the women of Za’atari with Helen Storey + Liz McLafferty; London College of Fashion, UAL and UNHCR.

Fascinated by the cultural and historical relevance of beauty Lucy investigated the history of beauty and religion from the 15th century to date for her radio documentary for the BBC World Service ‘Making faces’
